Trip into work this morning was pretty, if sedate. The road to/from mine is still completely snowed up, although with the cars running on it, it's now compacted ice, rather than snow. Luckily that's only a mile and a half till the main road. Same for the car park at work. Second morning in a row I used the handbrake to park the car ;) I don't think the designers of the new road between Alloa and Stirling had their heads on right when they designed it. It runs along the middle of the valley bit, so to prevent it getting flooded, they made it higher than the surrounding area, which means it's exposed. Which also means that the wind just blows the snow straight off the side of the Ochils, across the valley, and onto the road. Very pretty to watch, not so much fun to drive in. I don't know whether they were planning to put a hedge up along the edge of the road, like the old road had, but it might be a good idea to put some sort of break up.

... or you really need to listen to what's being said.

My technician was cleaning her desk, after moving the computers on it. She says something, which I interpret as 'You may want to hold your breasts, this is going to get really messy. Oh I wish I had a pair of rubber gloves'

I guess the Universal Translater must have been having a coffee break, cos what she actually said was 'You may want to hold your breath...' She was cleaning all the dust bunnies off her desk at the time.

I'm not even going to comment about the 'Whoops, there goes my ball again'
