When we get extremes in temperature (cold at night, hot during the day) we get disk failures. Not having adequate cooling in the base means the drives suffer.

We lost the smoothwall box at 4pm this afternoon, so killing all network contact with the outside world

By 4.25 pm, we were back on the air again, with a completely new smoothie.

Damn you gotta love smoothwall ;)

Ours take about as long as it takes to push the power button ;) It's usually the coming back again that takes the time. Still, that's what a nice UPS is for...

That depends on whether you mean Capernwray the 'village', or Capernwray Hall Torchbearers.

I lived most of my life in Capernwray, and worked on and off in the Printshop at Capernwray Hall when I was younger.

Well Capernwray the 'village' (in loosest sense of the word, I guess hamlet would be better) is the clusters of houses on the road from Over Kellet towards Capernwray Hall (the hall gets it's name from the place :)

It goes down as far as the Lower Lodge House, and up the hill past the hall. (Map here (http://www.multimap.com/map/browse.cgi?client=public&db=hcgaz&addr1=&client=public&addr2=&advanced=&addr3=&pc=&X=353225&quicksearch=capernwray&Y=471660&scale=100000&place=Capernwray,Lancashire&coordsys=gb))

I've not lived in the area since '98, when I moved to Scotland to work, but as my parents are still there, I visit fairly regularly
