I missed this the first time round, but when
darkmoon did it just recently, I thought I'd give it a go.
But if you want to play, here are the rules:
1 -- Leave a comment, saying you want to be interviewed.
2 -- I will respond; I'll ask you five questions.
3 -- You'll update your journal with my five questions, and your five answers.
4 -- You'll include this explanation.
5 -- You'll ask other people five questions when they want to be interviewed.
The Five Questions
darkmoon asked me.
1. Pick a song that really moves you, and tell me why.
I think 'Grace is Gone' by Dave Matthews Band. The car randomly selected it one time while I was driving, and it really seemed to fit with how I was feeling at that moment. (Yeah, I know that the whole 'getting meaning from song lyrics' is fairly cliched, but it fit at the time ;)
2. What does your ideal woman smell like?
The easy answer would be 'I'll let you know when I find her' :) But that isn't much fun. I'm not sure actually. A perfume can change depending on who is wearing it. I think it would probably have to just be a really subtle hint of perfume, nothing strong at all, anyone who marinades in it is right out ;). Possibly either lilies, or lavender.
3. If you could have one psychic ability, what would you want it to be?
I answered this one first cos it seemed to be the easiest. I'd like to be able to read minds, kind of like the PsiCorp in Bab5. I'd also like a couple of other people to be able to do the same thing, then we could set about getting rid of all the guilty 'lifers' in the judiciary system.
4. What's your favorite monster (thing that goes bump in the night or whatever, can be human as well) from myth or literature?
Oooh, you know, I'd not really thought about a favourite monster. I think maybe a werewolf or similar. Pretty normal, most of the time (apart from maybe an obsession with lamp posts or fire hydrants), and then *bam* instant fury in fur :)
5. What's your favorite genre of film or literature (or both)?
Film is kind of hard to pinpoint, cos it depends on the mood I am in. Sometimes I'll like a complete no-brainer, little plot, lots of action, and a fair amount of humour (not slapstick). Other times I'll go for something a little deeper, like Sixth Sense, or Minority Report.
Literature is more defined. I read sci-fi novels (star wars, trek, Iain M Banks, that sort of stuff) and fantasy novels (like Brooks, Goodkind, Feist, Eddings, Kerr, Hobb). I like the whole magic and swords and Middle Ages/after the cataclysm stuff.

the answers!
This a tough one!
You get what you settle for..... Thelma & Louise, cant remember which one actually said this though!
So I really wont settle for anything unless I am happy....did it before and wont do it again...I dont really think this sums up my life, its more a case of I wont settle for anything that I am not happy with...more a life motto I guess.
There are a few memorable quotes that I love but they dont really sum up my life, they just make me laugh - a lot!
2. What would be your dream holiday? Who would you take? What would you do?
Ok so,I am lucky enough to have had the dream holidy I always wanted. I always wanted to go to Vienna and see a performance by the Spanish Riding School. I was fortunate enough to have been granted that and was taken last year for my birthday!
So I guess I'd need another dream holiday now....this would be trekking through the jungle/rainforest in madagascar. The wildlife on that island is phenomenal and I'd love to go...
Who'd I take? Well I'd take my boyfriend and the wee fella...who might not be so pleased at trekking through the jungle :-)
3. The world ends tomorrow at noon. You have 24 hours. What do you do?
As corny as it may seem, I'd make sure everybody I cared about / loved knew that as a priority. I'd eat all the things that I know are not good for you - lots of chocolate would be good, I'd spend the afternoon maxing out my credit cards, buying all manner of things I dont need (since the world is ending) and never would have use for anyway, I'd get the people I cared about and loved altogether in the evening, eat lots curry and drink lots of beer, listen to all my favourite tracks and fall into a drink induced coma before day break....that way when the world ends at noon, it'll feel like any other Sunday when I wake up with a hangover!!! Basically, I'd just buy myself the best party outfit ever, get wasted with the people I care about and have the most amount of fun I could before its game over!
4. Is there a song that's really inspired you?
Ooooh there are lots...different phases of my life have found me listening to different toons! So where do I start? Ok filter by most significant I guess!
When I was finishing uni, I was under tonnes of stress and Toca's Miracle was about and I found that I felt I needed one too! I'd sing that I needed a miracle quite often!
Hmmm Sheryl Crow...Home....top tune and the words were very very pertinent at that time in my life 'I saw you standing there, I was 17, now I am 32 and I cant remember what I'd seen in you'. The whole song in fact is relevant - look up the lyrics for the rest if you want - and I guess inspired me to get off my ass and leave! See also film quote! But, I must announce here that I am not actually 32 yet though!
Man I could go on for years on this topic - I love music so this is my specialist subject!
5. What's your preferred sleeping position?
Ahhh.....another tough one - there is a dichotomy of beliefs here. I would state that like to go to sleep on my right hand side with my hands tucked under my pillow and my knees bent. A feotal position I guess would be the best way to describe. I would say this is my preferred sleeping position.
However, my boyfriend has indicated that I do my best bed hogging starfish impression in the middle of the night and he has to move me to get any space at all. This is unconfirmed as I have yet to actually wake up whilst doing star jumps!!!!!
