A bit of an odd meme

Stemming from an LJ entry by [livejournal.com profile] girl_thing, [livejournal.com profile] narenek posted this link, which you can follow to see if you are eligible for transfer to work in Canada as a skilled worker.

So, a bit of an odd meme to try out, but we'll see how far it goes ;)

My occupational job description is 2281 - Computer and Network Operators and Web Technicians

My final score is : 67

My breakdown is:
Factor Maximum Points Your Score
Education 25 20
Language Ability 24 16
Work Experience 21 21
Age 10 10
Arranged Employment 10 0
Adaptability 10 0
Total Score 100 67

Incidentally, 67 is the current pass mark, so yay, I pass :)

For the record, Matt passed as well.

I did this before while at uni so I'm off to try again (I think I just passed if I assumed I'd passed my degree).

Yay - I passed bang-on 67.

It is something you have to watch though--over the last four months that I've been under consideration for the position in Vancouver, the overall required score has dropped by three and my personal score (without secured employment) has gone from 72 to 69, without anything actually changing on my end. So they're continually reevaluating the importance of various factors, as well as what they're looking for. Scoring above the minimum without guaranteed employment only means you qualify for an interview with immigration, iirc. :(
