We bought a BBQ yesterday, just as the weather here turned better.
A big gas one which is cool as we only get electric to cook with inside.
As for BBQ food, if you get one at all, I'd heartily recommend just keeping a pound of mince in the freezer. It only takes five minutes to defrost in the microwave and can soon be turned into burgers with the help of a finely choped onion, some random herbs and a tablespoon of flour. And if the weather isn't good enough for outdoor cooking it can just as easily be turned into Spaghetti Bolognese or something :)
